Deane Jones
With over 20 years of experience in animal training, Deane has held various roles including senior trainer, head keeper, curator, and currently, manager of animal training and behavior. Deane's extensive expertise spans a diverse range of taxa, encompassing marine mammals, primates, carnivores, elephants, hoof stock, reptiles, and native Australian animals. This comprehensive background reflects a deep commitment to animal welfare and effective training techniques, ensuring positive outcomes for both animals and their caretakers. He has achieved notable success in cognitive concept training, highlighting a special skill in enhancing understanding and recall of complex ideas. Deane's passion for animal behavior fuels a dedication to fostering meaningful connections between humans and wildlife.

Ryan Tate
Ryan's career as an animal trainer spans nearly three decades, showcasing his dedication and expertise in this field. From 2004 to 2015, he worked as the Supervisor of Marine Mammals at Taronga Zoo, where he honed his skills in managing and training a diverse range of marine species. His passion for animals led him to transition into a full-time consultancy role, where he specializes in detection dog training as well as providing guidance to zoos and aquariums. In his consultancy, Ryan has successfully trained detection dogs for various critical tasks, including conservation, biosecurity, and anti-poaching efforts. His innovative approach to training extends to lesser-trained species, such as elasmobranchs and reptiles, where he has advanced cooperative training to enhance their welfare and care. Ryan's extensive experience and commitment to animal training make him a figure in the industry.

Stephen Dalleywater
Stephen is a skilled animal trainer with a diverse background in conservation, biosecurity, and zoo-based animal care. At TATE Animal Training Enterprises, he handles detection dogs trained on high-priority targets like Koalas, Fire Ants, Foxes, Cats, and invasive weeds, tracking hard-to-find species across challenging terrain. A former Taronga Zoo keeper with a Cert III in Captive Animals, Stephen has hands-on experience with marine mammals, birds, big cats, and native wildlife. He’s worked on multiple field projects to locate, manage, and mitigate invasive species using both dogs and sharp behavioural insight.
